Description: Free outdoor skatepark with concrete surface. Fun park along highway 40 in flagstaff quite possibly the best name for a skatepark, ever. This was site design's first park and was completed in dec 98'. It was one of the first cement parks of the new wave to be built properly. At the time it was a hailed as a "10" by nearly all. In the years since the bar has be raised considerably, so now a (solid) "6" is probably more accurate. It has a fun-ish clover (approx 8' 6' 4') that is very user friendly. It has well laid metal coping that is consistent throughout. Ollies/airs can be had over the roll-in/channel. It's a good ride, but the more jaded speed junkies will likely be disappointed somewhat. The transitions are the same in each bowl which gives it the feel of a "round-ramp" rather than a true pool. This is nitpicking somewhat, you'll have fun. The rest of the park consists of a snake run with a rollover that connects to a quarterpipe area w/ a small bowled corner and a fun box in the middle. One side of the snake has a cement lip that's great to spark em' on. A variety of large transfers are possible from the snake to the clover bowl and the snake to the "street" area. There are two ledge setups that are a bit too steep but that doesn't seem to stop would be huck-stars from getting' their jig on. Positive = free, no pads, no park "mom", "one push" park!, something for all, on i-40 for you road trippers, good scene. Negative = no lights, harsh winter weather, pure street skaters may not like it.-chris kelley.
